Specialist Expertise and Clinical Interest

Mr Harpaul S Flora is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon with a special interest in endovascular and advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery.

His main interests are in minimal access surgery particularly endoluminal aortic aneurysm surgery and in developing the field of keyhole vascular surgery. He continues to maintain an interest in General Surgery.

Professional Biography

Mr Flora was appointed as Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the Royal London Hospital in 2007.

Harpaul S Flora qualified from The Royal London Hospital Medical College, University of London, in 1995. He trained in surgery throughout major centres in London and was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1999. Following this Mr Flora completed a MSc in surgery for which he was awarded this degree with distinction. Mr Flora completed an advanced laparoscopic fellowship in Hong Kong prior to taking up his appointment as Consultant Vascular Surgeon.

He has a wide ranging vascular practice with special expertise in endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) for varicose veins and thread veins, aneurysm surgery and carotid artery surgery.

Mr Flora also instructs in General and Vascular Surgery for undergraduate medical students, doctors in training and is currently developing novel techniques in Minimal Access Surgery.
